i have some pdf documents and I need to edit the text. I tried some softwares to extract text from pdf documents. But i got failed in that attempt. please help me how i do that.

Hi. I used to have an acrobat installed on my computer that allowed me to edit the text on a pdf document. The one I currently have is Adobe Acrobat Professional, but whenever I try to edit the text, it appears as a comment, and the document does not change. Which version of Acrobat do I need to edit the text?
I want to create a cover page in PDF format where the title on the cover page is directly editable in Adobe Reader. The end user must be able to edit the title and have the new text appear with the same font formatting as the original text.
I will use InDesign to create the PDF document.. so I was wondering if this is this possible to do using Form Fields or enabling a certain permission when exporting to PDF.

I am trying to figure out if I need Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Professional. I need to be able to edit PDFs - to select graphics and paste them in other places, to be able to take a 4 page PDF and split them into 4 separate documents. Which version do I need to do that please? Thank you!

Want the PDF Printer Drive print the document just the way it is in my word processer and then open it up in my Adobe reader but want pring it out on my HP printer if i don't want it to, i i want is if it would print my document just the way it appears on my word processer.
PS. how would you edit a pdf file it the document turns out messed up like i saied before, i have 30 lines of words on each page but opening it up in a online converter it show half of the 30 lines on two pages??

I scanned a document to Word and gave it a pdf. so I could write to and edit the text. When I viewed the doc in Word, and attempted to modify,edit, or write to it, a "format picture" dialog box appeared. I could not edit my doc because it was seen as a picture by Word. How can I edit and modify my doc.? I used an on-line converter (pdf to doc), but that failed as well. Thankyou

Ok, let me add something here so that it will clarify the situation: This is NOT stealing. The document was created FOR me, i DO have the file on my PC and the person who created it is not around right now but i want to edit a few things so that i can post it on my website.
I have a program that converts MSWord to pdf. I can add music to the MSWord document, but when I convert to pdf the music will not play. I do not have a program where I can directly create or edit pdf files.

p.s. copying and pasting makes it an image file that you can't edit, so that's not what i'm looking for.
Can anyone offer advise on how to get a PDF form (Job application) converted to edit (fill in) in Microsoft Works. I know it can be converted into Microsoft Word and then you can fill it out, however my laptop doesn't have 'Word' it has 'Microsoft Works'. The free downloadable converters are all for converting to word.
A friend has converted the document for me into word but we are messed up as his laptop will not load disks for my printer and he is currently 600 mles from his own. Equally he cannot e-mail me the converted form as it is in word so my laptop will not read the e-mail etc. etc.
Any ideas please. I do not want just to print the forms and write them out by hand, it's just nor professional enough! - Thanks
How do we edit to enter text in a PDF document? When I export it as word (.doc) everything is corrupt. Is there any way we could do this easily? You see I got this application form in PDF format and I need to write/fill up text in it.
Although there is a much easier idea, that is to print the PDF file and use the traditional way of filling up the form.

I have just installed Adobe Acrobat professional - I got it to edit a PDF document I have, but the "text editing" tool only puts in what look like comments - I want it to replace the original text with those comments. How can I do that?
Could you tell me how or with what freeware tool i can edit a PDF document? For example if i want to increase the font size for printing. I try text extrac feature from ghostview but it mess the document's structure as it makes every line's change to new paragraph (as when you press 'enter'). Please help and thanks a lot.
