how to type on a pdf form Question And Answer
Hello. In a separate window (adobe) I have a form that I need to fill out and print. I can just print it and write in the information but it must be typed. When I click on the box it only has that hand there that grabs. How can I change the hand to a cursor to be able to type text?
For a college application I'm filling out, you have to download it in pdf form (no online). Yet it won't allow me save any text I type up! I can only save a blank copy every time. Adobe Reader 7 says that you can't save the text, but it's impossible to fill out the app in just one setting. And I'm worried that all my typing will be lost in case somebody accidentally turns my computer off or something. Is there any way to get around this?
Is there any family tree software out there that will upload a family book in pdf form and convert it into that tree without the process of typing all of the info in?
I WANT TO COMPLETE A FORM FROM A PDF FILE ON THE COMPTUTER. HOW DO I?

I am currently running Acrobat Pro 7 on my computer. I have created an unlocked, writable PDF form. Will people who only have Adobe Reader be able to type in the fields of this document?
I need to fill out an employment application, but the only form in which I can download it is a .pdf. This wasn't a problem until I ran into a required field in which the author has mistakenly typed a word. I need to be able to edit that word out and replace it with the correct entry. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thanx very much for any useful suggestions.
I have a form that I need to post on the net as a PDF document. BUT I still want the ability for people to type their information in right then and there, but I do not want them to have the ability to change or alter the form. Is that possible? And what program do I have to get in order to do it?

I have really horrid handwriting, but I have forms I have to fill out on a regular basis. I can scan and email them, but I want the receivers to be able to actually READ them. is there a way to make a PDF you can type over, instead of writing and scanning everything?
I have Adobe Reader 8.1 and would like to know how to use the keyboard to type in forms instead of printing them out and filling in the information by hand. It looks promising, but is there something else I need to buy from Adobe in order to use this function? I notice there is an asterik by the typewriter icon that says "Only available when document rights are enabled". How do you enable a pdf form that came from Amazon.com or other business?
Thanks for any help,
WIlliam

Several employers have their online employment forms in PDF format. Instead of filling it out manually or on a typewriter, I would like to just download the forms and type directly on them.
Thanks for your response.
