pdf creator Question And Answer

How do I avoid losing quality when I Print to PDF from Photoshop CS2?

I use an online flyer creator to create flyers for my business.. it creates nice flyers in PDF format. I use Adobe CS2 to open the PDF file (which must convert to another format?)and edit it to my liking, adding or subtracting what I like.. So in order to get the edit back into PDF format I must print to PDF.. When I do this, whether or not I have edited at all.. I lose quality.. I can open a PDF in Photoshop CS2 and it looks great, w/o editing.. I print to PDF and the result is horrible.. what can I do?

Have you tried a " 'save as' " photoshop pdf" from photoshop instead of printing as a pdf...this way you can check your compression settings as well as others to ensure you are saving a high quality pdf...also when you open your pdf in photoshop does it come up with a dialog box where u can change the resolution?...if so, maybe you can up the resolution before you open the pdf also...hope this made sense, just had a fiddle myself to see what i could come up with and these so far are the options...Good luck!
If you intend for the flyers to be view online, you can op for saving it for web (under file menu in photoshop, go to save for web, it will give you much better color for online viewing, and comes in jpeg and png format), if you intend to output the said flyer, say printing it on paper, an online downloaded flyer template would not give you dpi of more then 72, which would become very pixelated if you print them. Its pretty much not gonna help saving it either way, unless you re-creat one thats high resolution (150-350dpi depending) using the downloaded one as template, and i suggest using adobe illustrator or in design.
