how do I set adobe reader as my default pdf reader?
I accidently set photoshop to open my pdf's but that sucks I want to read pdf's not paint on them, I looked in adobe's preferances and could not find a way to do it all I want is for when I double click a pdf have adobe reader startup and open the document

well there is a easy way right click on the pdf file.
Go to open with
and go to Choose program->select acrobat reader
and make a tick for Alway use the selected program to open this file
and there after pdf file will be opened with Acrobat.
I'm not sure how to change the default program to use for pdfs, but if you right click on the pdf file and choose the 'open with' link it will give you options and adobe should be one of them.
right click on any pdf file > select open with > Select choose program > select adobe acrobat reader > there is a checkbox under the window its says always use this program to open these files > select ok. you;re all set.
In addition, if you dont see reader in the list, there is a browse button, select it and browse to acrobat reader folder and select the program. Then also remeber to check the box that says always use this program. Have fun.
