The ABSOLUTE easiest way is to use an online conversion server like zamzar.com or media-convert.com This way you don't have to install any software at work. If this isn't good for you, then install the program pdfcreator which adds a printer to your computer to print PDFs.
Open office has a pdf creator... Its free you need to download the whole suite though... also you can try http://portableapps.com/apps/office/openoffice_portable install right to a thumb drive You may be screwed viewing any of these webpages if your work firewall doesnt allow it... I do like A H's idea.... i never knew online conversion exhisted...
Download a freeware program from sourceforge website. It installs a virtual printer driver on your PC, and you can convert any printable document to pdf just by choosing to print the document to the newly installed virtual printer. Simple.
try YouConvertIt .com, it converts many formats, and no need to install anything. and it's free. if you wish, it can send files only with no conversion. it downloads youtube videos, or converts them online. it also convert units
Pdf writer is a same program described in Rafi's answer. It seems to be quite simple: you launch your word document printing and pdf writer creates a pdf document in a virtual printer.
