pdf Question And Answer

How can I find and replace a particular word in several dozen PDF files at once without opening each one?

I need to change the wording in over 100 PDF files...is there a way to do this automatically without manually loading each file?

You must have Acrobat full version? To actually be able to save data you need the full version. So this would have to be the feature of the program. But i kind of doubt there is a way to do this. I know you can't do this in 100 Word documents. how would your computer know which documents you want to change?
Hi i'm sorry but there is no way to change the wording i over 100 PDF files.
Sorry kelccod--but there IS a way to do this--dependent on which version of full Acrobat Writer you're working with. There are probably scripts out there which do this, but what I've done in this situation is to use the "Combine Files" facility within Acrobat 8 to combine the individual PDF files together, and then do a global replace within that one massive file. Admittedly, it didn't contain anything like 100 individual PDFs. Then, once the change has been made, split them back down into individuals again (possibly using tyhe bookmarks put together whenb the files were combined). If you think that the above is a lot of work, just think of how much time you're gonna spend doing each one individually..... Hope This of Help Scots
