pdf Question And Answer

How can I remove a border from a PDF document?

Hello- I have a large PDF document that has a border going around every page within the document. I am interested in stripping the border out- I'm only interested in the content / text within the document. Its a 1/2 an inch border around each page. This PDF is contains both text and images. How can I remove the border while leaving the text and images intact? I have an older version (5 or 6) of Adobe Acrobat reader, but I'm hoping there's an alternative freeware program than can resolve this problem so I don't have to install the bloatware that is Acrobat. However, I will install it if absolutely necessary. Any ideas? Thank you! I have OpenOffice and Writer cannot properly open a PDF file. Unless more specifics can be given on how exactly OpenOffice can remove a border from a PDF document, please don't respond with try OpenOffice.

Try OpenOffice, open source alternative to MS Office. It can open pdf's, open Word docs, create pdf's so you should be able to do what you want.
There are several very inexpensive programs that you can download from www.tucows.com that will allow you to edit pdf files. Just use 'pdf' as the keyword for your search. They might be trial versions or have some small fee, but it's going to be WAY cheaper than buying Adobe.
