How can I attach two different PDF files together so that I can save one as only one? And also how can I lower the size of the file?

To attach two files as one or to lower the size of both files, I suggest you zip them. Like what WinZip does.
If you have Acrobat (as opposed to Acrobat READER), you can insert pages into one PDF from another PDF. Look under "Document>Insert Pages". Also, under that same heading is a "Reduce File Size" option.
To attached 2 different pdfs you will need to Adobe Acrobat.
To down size a file you will also need Adobe Acrobat. When you are creating a pdf from a Word doc or whatever, check the Job Options in Acrobat Distiller (this come with Adobe Acrobat).
It very easy, but Adobe Acrobat costs money.

No, you DO NOT need Adobe Acrobat. That's one of the most over-priced, over-hyped pieces of software I've ever seen and I've been around this stuff for 25 years. You DO need a PDF editor, but Adobe is not the only one around. Years ago, I got rid of my big, slow, space-and-memory hogging Adobe and got Foxit, a small, fast and simply very efficient reader. It also has a small, fast and very efficient editor, which comes with a 30-day trial.
