pdf Question And Answer
Printing to PDF in Vista?
In Vista, printing to PDF is not an option. Microsoft forces you to use XPS. It will not let me print to PDF, it only lets me print to XPS.
Can someone tell me how I can override this and print to PDF?
Microsoft sucks, its always against the web standards. Good think Yahoo declined Microsoft's offer of buying out the company.

On my desktop I run Windows XP and I know I haven't installed a 3rd party program and I know for sure I can print to PDF and not XPS.

Have you tried CutePDF?

Printing to PDF was never an option in any of the iterations of Windows, it was always handled by a 3rd party product. CutePDF is one way to print to PDF. Many scanners also have that option built in. Your final comment is interesting but incorrect re: being against web standards. Internet Explorer is one of the standards plus printing to PDF is not necessarily a web standard but rather an Adobe standard.
